We are excited to announce A new FPE 101 course is being added to the IMP website.
This older version of the course is being phased out and will be removed from the site on November 22nd 2024. Make sure to complete this course by that date, or start the new version of the course, available as of November 18th 2024.

This course will be updated in the near future to address current accessibility standards.

This course provides a non-certifiable general overview. It is a requirement for a person to participate in the basic FPE training OR has been trained in the past and feel they need a refresher. The FPE course is intended for a person that is preparing for FPE basic training as a requirement for participation in the full training. Completion of this online course does not qualify a person to be certified to implement the practice without additional training.

The Principles of Family Psychoeducation
This course provides behavioral health professionals with a chance to refresh their skills on the Family Psychoeducation (FPE) model. This course provides information to renew basic principles and provides definitions of basic strategies used in the model. 

Multi-family Problem Solving Groups Provide Strength in Numbers
This course provides participants with Problem solving group structure. This course covers the strategy of creating multi-family Problem Solving groups to create a support system that best serves the clients and the families of those clients. 

Schizophrenia
There is a lesson that provides you information on understanding how biology connects to mental health disorders, specifically schizophrenia, communicating the potential causes and symptoms, and triggers to be aware of.

Creating Genograms and Ecomaps.
Explore best practices for creating the genograms and ecomaps including examples, best cases for implementing this practice, and how best to communicate these. 

Mood Disorders and Substance Abuse
Here the course provides you with a working understanding of human biology in regards to how it relates to mood disorders. We will go beyond defining it to identifying clients and how  biology pertains to specific mood disorders.
