Understanding Habit Disorders
Unlike other courses in this category, this course focuses on disorders other than Autism. In this course, participants will be able to define symptoms of habit disorders like a TIC disorder or Tourettes.
Treatment Implications
An important topic in this course surrounds the implications of beginning treatment with this cohort. In many cases, treating these disorders without using the correct model, may enhance the disorder or create many more treatment barriers.
Function-Based Interventions
One of the models used as part of treatment for these habit disorders is the Function-Based Intervention. This course provides a step by step guide to using this model as a basis for assessment and treatment.
