Self-Determination in Long Term Care
This course provides a deeper look into the self-determination services, methodologies, and connection to the MI Choice Waiver. Participants of this course will develop a strong understanding of Self-Determination as it fits into long term care and older adult clients.
The Formula, Methods, Budgets
The "Basics" course does provide insight into the "formula" that makes up self-determination, i.e. Person-Centered Planning, Support Services, and developing a long-term sustainable budget for those support services.
Self-Determination Services
This course and included training documents provide additional information regarding the various services available for clients that qualify for the MI Choice Waiver.
Additional Considerations
In the late 1990s, many states began to offer consumer-directed care services.
