The Five Core Values of Trauma-Informed Care

This course revisits the five core values of trauma-informed care. Unlike the previous course regarding the assessment of agencies, this course frames the five core values into creating a culture shift in those agencies that are not providing trauma-informed care or supporting that method.

Creating the Culture Shift

This course provides the participants with multiple methodologies for creating the change that is necessary to create a successful trauma-informed culture. Participants of this course will gain an understanding of what that culture should exemplify and the tactics on creating it and supporting it. This course also provides documents to assist in the screening and assessment of behavioral health agencies.

Trauma-Informed Care v. Trauma-Specific Services

Participants of this course will learn the differences between trauma-informed care versus trauma-specific services. The course expert provides in-depth information that positions trauma-informed care as a method for practice and creating culture whereas trauma-specific services fall into intervention and treatment strategies.

By being trauma-informed you have the ability to intervene on someone's behalf and expressing that sense of empathy can have a real impact on your client and their relationship with you and the world.
