Judge Shannon A. Holmes
Presiding Judge, 36th District Specialty Court
Judge Shannon Holmes administers restorative justice for individuals who require specialized services due to addictions and behavioral health issues. She has previous local legislative and federal investigation services and has a lifetime history of serving the public in leadership roles.
Judge Shannon A. Holmes has served the 36th District Court since 2011. She is a graduate of Dillard University, and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
Wright Wade
District Court Director of Probation
Wright Wade is the Director of Probation for the last eight years in the 36th District Court in Detroit, Michigan. The 36th District Court is the largest District Court in the state of Michigan. The Court has three primary specialty courts. Drug Treatment Court, Veterans Treatment Court, and Mental Health Court.
Director Wade is also the Project Manager over the Specialty Courts. The 36th District Court is a Mentorship Court. It is recognized by the National Association of Drug Court Professionals. Director Wade also holds a Master's of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Organizational Management. He is retired from the Michigan Department of Corrections after 32 years as an Inspector and Acting Deputy Warden.
