Definition:

A guide created by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to address anger. This guide helps clinicians teach anger management techniques in a group setting to patients living with a mental illness and/or substance use disorder It uses a cognitive behavioral therapy approach to address the anger cycle and conflict resolution. The guide also provides assertiveness skills and anger control plans.
