Definition:

Compulsive sexual behavior is sometimes called hypersexuality, hypersexuality disorder, or sexual addiction even though it's not recognized as its own diagnosable disorder by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-V).

It is defined as an excessive preoccupation with sexual fantasies, urges or behaviors that is difficult to control, cause distress, or negatively affects a person's health, job, relationships, or other parts of a person's life.

A 12-step fellowship style help exists in Sex Addicts Anonymous (SAA) for people who suffer from compulsive sexual behavior.
