Intoxicated is defined as drugs or alcohol causing someone to lose control of their faculties or behavior.
Intoxication is defined as the state of being intoxicated, especially by alcohol. Symptoms of intoxication can be physical, such as slurred speech, or psychological, such as feeling relaxed or energized. Being intoxicated does not in itself suggest that a person has a substance use disorder.
