In the state of Michigan, the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) has specific requirements for a person to get a maintain a nursing license. A professional must meet these requirements in order to be a nurse. Once a professional has the license, they must continue their education as required by the state in order to remain licensed.
