Definition:

Service Integration is when the whole person is treated as opposed to treated in parts. The goal is integrated treatment as opposed to sequential treatment. This allows the person to address co-occurring disorders (COD) within a single treatment plan, coordinated by a single treatment team, and both effective and responsive to the high degree of severity of both mental health disorder and substance use disorders experienced by the client.
