Autism Spectrum Disorders
Autism is a developmental brain disorder that typically affects development within the first 3 years of life. Symptoms are typically seen in the areas of communication, social interaction, behaviors, play or interests and can negatively impact a child’s ability to function in daily life and form meaningful relationships. Children diagnosed with ASD typically fall within a wide-ranging spectrum from mildly impaired to profoundly impaired. Autism services are typically for children, aged 2 to 21 who have been diagnosed with Autism.
